Northern Ireland Hotels Federation Housekeeping shortlist announced

Belmore Court and Motel Housekeeping team are set to defend their title as ‘Hotel & Guesthouse Housekeeping Team of the year’ (under 90 rooms category) with the announcement of the 2015 finalist shortlist by the Northern Ireland Hotels Federation (NIHF).

The awards, organised by the Northern Ireland Hotels Federation  are held on an annual basis and have been designed to showcase the important role of housekeeping and reward the excellence achieved by housekeeping staff. Finalists are assessed on cleanliness, attention to detail and a good overall guest impression. 2015 marks the sixth year of the awards and a Gala Dinner and awards ceremony will take place on 25th March in the Holiday Inn Belfast where the winners will be announced.

Proudly representing The Fermanagh Lakelands, Belmore Court and Motel are the only accommodation provider in the west of the province to be shortlisted in this category. They will defend their title against the renowned Galgorm Resort & Spa, Salty Dog Hotel & Bistro and Tara Lodge.

The short listing process involved three stages; beginning with submitting an application to the NIHF, followed by a skills assessment day in Belfast as well as on-site inspection.

Two members of Belmore Court and Motel Housekeeping team Diana and Vilija completed the assessment day, which involved a series of tasks including servicing a bedroom in 10 minutes and preparing a room for a guest with a special occasion request.

The on-site inspection included a review of bedrooms, public toilets, bins, the corridor, the lift and the housekeeping team's laundry room.

No stranger to awards, Belmore Court and Motel were recently awarded ‘Top 25 Bargain Hotel’ status in TripAdvisor’s Annual Travellers’ Choice Awards (number 18 UK); again representing the only Fermanagh and Northern Ireland property.
